One-to-one counselling is available for people who require more intensive support for the problems they are experiencing. Counselling is a way of addressing problems by talking them through with someone who, whilst supportive, is not directly involved in the situation.
Group therapy provides a safe environment for people to work on their difficulties and explore the way they get on with others. Whilst at times challenging, it can become a real source of support and strength.
The Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Clinic offers treatment for people who are experiencing life disrupting symptoms following trauma.
This group provides a safe, supportive, and social place where mothers can meet to share and discuss similar experiences, fears and challenges while re-building resilience and self-esteem.
Let’s Talk is a new part of our service which offers cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT). CBT focuses on the “here and now” and uses specific techniques based on modifying the behaviours and thoughts that can maintain depression and anxiety.
Let’s talk provides assessment, information, guidance and therapy including:
· Self help materials including ‘Books on Prescription’
· Guided self-help
· Face to face therapy
