May 2009
South Gloucestershire residents will benefit from a new dental practice from today, Monday 18 May, when a new surgery opens in the Tesco Willow Brook Centre in Bradley Stoke.
The Bradley Stoke Dental Surgery will have two dentists and a hygienist on site and aims to provide flexible opening hours including evening and Saturday appointments, to increase access to dental care outside normal working hours.
Dentist and practice manager Paul Drugan, said, “As a brand new practice we will have the latest technology to help us provide the highest quality dental care. We will be fully computerised with digital X-rays, dedicated decontamination room and a patient information system, all provided within a contemporary air-conditioned setting.”
Penny Harris, Chief Executive of NHS South Gloucestershire, said, “We are delighted that this, Bradley Stoke’s first NHS dental practice, is to open its doors to patients. Rates of patients seeing their dentist are higher than average in South Gloucestershire but access to dental care is something that people care about. We are delighted that more South Gloucestershire residents will now have access to an NHS dentist.”
Patients can log on to www.phoenixdental.co.uk to find out more. Patients must book appointments in advance and can do so by going online or telephoning 0117 911 4441.
