Get involved

NHS South Gloucestershire is committed to involving patients and the public in its work. We want you to have an opportunity to influence the way in which your local NHS is run.

We work with patients or members of the public to:

Develop services closer to communities. We have established project boards made up of half NHS and half non-NHS representatives to develop services for Kingswood, Frenchay and Thornbury. You can find out more about these projects under Modernising Healthcare.

Tender services. When we tender for services we ensure that we get input from patients and the public about what they want from the service. NHS South Gloucestershire endeavours to have patient representation on the panels that interviews bidders as and where appropriate.

Improve services.  The PCT also frequently meets with local patient, carer and voluntary sector representatives including the South Gloucestershire Local Involvement Network [LINk] to discuss how local services might be improved.

We want to work with members of our community to ensure that they have the opportunity to make their voices heard and to influence the way in which the NHS is run. Our patient and public involvement strategy sets out how we do this.

To find out how you can become involved please contact Louise Winn, Head of Patient and Public Involvement, on 0117 330 0225 or Louise.Winn@sglos-pct.nhs.uk  or write to:
