NHS South Gloucestershire employs a total of 760 staff or 482 full time equivalents in a wide range of roles. Over 470 of our staff work in clinical roles such as nurses, physiotherapists and podiatrists.

Results from the 2008/09 NHS Staff Survey show that:

• 96% of staff believe the PCT provides equal opportunities for career progression or promotion
• 92% agreed that their role makes a difference to patients
• 79% said they feel valued by their work colleagues
• 82% agreed that they have an interesting job
• Staff on the whole believe the trust is committed to work-life balance (3.77 measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 denoting low trust commitment and 5 denoting high trust commitment)
• 85% use flexible work options
• 82% said they had received job-relevant training, learning or developing in the previous 12 months.
